Being smart doesn’t always work.

So here’s why being smart doesn’t always work.

I was being just a little bit selfish and figured if I offer Vinnie both breasts at bedtime so he would be tanked up and be full in till at least 7am rather than the normal 5am wake up.
It is Christmas after all don’t I deserve just a little lay in. Even just one or two extra hours sleep?
So he fed, I laid him in the cot, on his belly like normal.. I went to the kitchen and said to DH ‘I think I’ve moved him too soon he may wake up’
Left the kitchen and heard him squeaking… Went in to rock, shush or give him his dummy to sooth him.
Picked him up out the cot and there’s sick all over his face. Nose, eyes, ears.. Everywhere!

A change of sheets and a clean of the face and Daddy is rocking him back to sleep.

I guess 5am it will be.

Being clever sometimes get’s you no where!
